Parent Volunteer Association
The Bonny Doon School Parent Volunteer Association (PVA) is an organization dedicated to fostering community within Bonny Doon School. Your participation helps create an inclusive and supportive culture at BDS, providing students and their families with special moments to celebrate the seasons and spend time together outside of the normal school day!
The purpose of the PVA is as follows:
- To organize fundraising to support our incredible teachers with classroom supply purchases, extra-curricular school programs, and field trips
- To plan and sponsor fun school-wide celebrations and community events such as after-school First Friday Snack Sales, our Halloween Festival, Friendsigiving Potluck and Concert, Winter Craft Night, Teacher Appreciation Week, and more
- To help maintain our school’s beautiful Life Lab Garden, K-1 pollinator garden and vegetable patch, and support creating new art projects on campus
- To serve as a direct liaison between parents and school staff
The PVA holds meetings in person or virtually on the first Monday evening each month (shifted for school holidays). All Bonny Doon School parents and guardians are automatically considered members of the PVA with a flexible level of involvement. The time, effort, and talents that our volunteers contribute are what allow us to put on such special events for our students. Whether you are able to donate your time, supplies or treats for gatherings and Snack Sales, or use a skill or materials to help improve our campus, there are a multitude of ways to show your support to Bonny Doon School through the PVA. No contribution to our school is too small!
