New this week
Work underway and coming up includes:
- Upper and lower campus improvements: Trenching continues through the lower campus, with temporary trench plates being used as needed to maintain safe student crossings. On the upper campus, final grading is underway as crews prepare for the next phase of improvements.
- Storm drain and concrete work: Storm drain improvements are scheduled to begin, followed by concrete work in several areas. This includes continued preparation for new ramps, walkways and other hardscape improvements around campus.
- Classroom modernization: Improvements continue in Rooms 1, 2, 4, and 5, where crews are working on classroom walls and interior spaces and making upgrades to the fire alarm system. These spaces are beginning to take shape as modernization work moves forward
- Generator area: Crews continue preparing the generator pad, including additional compaction and testing before moving into the next stages of construction.
As construction moves into new areas, students, staff and visitors may notice temporary changes to pathways and access around campus. The construction team will continue to use signage, fencing and temporary crossings to help everyone safely navigate active work areas.
We appreciate the continued patience and flexibility of our students, families, teachers and staff as this work progresses. Each week brings us another step closer to completing these important Measure L improvements for the Bonny Doon school community.
