Measure L Construction Update
Work continues to move forward across several areas of campus as part of our Measure L improvements. As construction activity increases, we recognize the temporary adjustments and disruptions this work can create for students, teachers, staff and families, and we appreciate everyone’s continued flexibility.
New this week
Work underway includes:
- Upper campus improvements: Site preparation continues for new concrete ramps and walkways, along with underground utility work. Inspections and additional site preparation are anticipated as this phase progresses.
- Classroom modernization: Work in the first group of classrooms/buildings includes hazardous-material abatement, followed by demolition and preparation for new building systems and improvements.
- Campus access and safety: Construction areas will remain separated from students and staff. Temporary pathways and signage will help everyone safely navigate campus, and additional safety railing is being installed where needed.
We recognize that active construction on a school campus can create temporary noise, changes in access and other disruptions for students, teachers and staff. Our project team continues to coordinate closely with school staff to minimize impacts whenever possible while keeping safety at the forefront.
