Drive for Schools School-wide Fundraiser Underway

Dear Bonny Doon School Families,

 

The Drive for Schools fundraiser starts today! Many Bonny Doon residents have won prizes through this fundraiser, including the grand prize! This year the grand prize winner will have the choice of a brand new Prius LE, a Subaru Crosstrek, or $25,000. There are also many other prizes, including ten $1,000 cash prizes.

 

The Drive for Schools Fundraiser supports our goal of continuous improvement to provide more to our students than just “the basics”. This year we plan to use the funds to purchase and replace classroom technology.

 

We have raised between $6,000-$15,000 per year with this fundraiser which has directly supported the following:

  • Materials and technology for our science lab and life lab
  • iPads and a charging station available for use by all the teachers and students
  • Art supplies
  • Teacher professional development including tuition to send teachers to a national technology conference (CUE)
  • And much more!

 

Here’s how it works:

 

With this letter are tickets to buy or sell. When all of your tickets are sold return the ticket stubs and the money to the office no later than Wednesday afternoon, October 16th to be eligible for the drawing which will take place on Sunday, October 27th at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Checks should be made out to Bonny Doon School.

 

Tickets can be purchased by you, relatives, friends, and colleagues. Some businesses match employee donations so please ask your employer about this. We have found that most families are able to sell upwards of 4-12 books, so come in to the office for more, or have your child come in for more.

Some families have chosen to make a direct donation to the school in lieu of selling tickets. We are greatly appreciative of both ticket purchases and sales or direct donations.
